The birth of jesus is only in matthew and luke. not in mark or john.
BIRTH OF JESUS IS ONLY IN MATTHEW AND
LUKE. NOT IN MARK OR JOHN.
To understand, you have to know both the Matthew
version & the Luke version
Blood trail in Matthew: National
(Joseph descended from David through his son
Solomon)
Matthew’s gospel is written to the Jewish community
Matthew’s genealogy presents Jesus as the second David,
a son of Abraham.
Matthew began Jesus’ lineage with Abraham and named
each father in 41 generations (Jesus the 42nd) in
Matthew 1:1 – 1:16
42
– 42 weeks in Revelation
– 42 weeks in Daniel
– Jackie Robinson
Blood trail in Luke: Human
(The genealogy in Luke is recorded with Joseph’s
name, but this lineage was Mary’s line.)
Luke’s gospel is written to a non-Jewish audience
Luke’s genealogy presents Jesus as the second Adam, a
son of God.
Luke, the genealogy begins with Jesus, the son of Joseph,
and follows his line back to Adam who was the first son
of God. 77 generations are recorded. Luke 1
Psalms 1:1-2 NKJV
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the
ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in
the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of
the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
“meditates”
Psalm 2:1 KJV
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a
vain thing?
“imagine”
meditates & imagine = same Hebrew word
Meditation: the dedication to be consecrated to what you
think and how you think
Imagination Realm = Meditation Realm
Gabriel Shows Up to Mary
Luke 1:26-27 NKJV
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by
God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin
betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the
house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And
having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly
favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you
among women!”
Luke 1:34 NKJV
But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying,
and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then
the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you
have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will
conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall
call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be
called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give
Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign
over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there
will be no end.” 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How
can this be, since I do not know a man?”
Mary wasn’t stupid for asking this question. She was
asking “how can I get with the Lord’s program concerning
this matter.
Luke 1:35 NKJV
And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy
Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the
Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that
Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of
God.
“Holy Spirit is going to come upon you” means to carry
the mantle of the Holy Spirit
“Overshadow” – what’s happening in the spirit is bigger
than what’s going on in the natural
“She didn’t become pregnant from a sexual act, she
became pregnant by receiving the word of God.”
I Peter 1:23-25 NKJV
having been born again, not of corruptible seed but
incorruptible, through the word of God which lives
and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, And
all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
Not a sexual encounter, it was an encounter with the
Word, which she then hid in her heart, she incubated it.
Mary didn’t tell anyone.
Luke 1:36-37 NKJV
Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived
a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month
for her who was called barren. 37 For with God
nothing will be impossible.”
The Lord gave her a prophetic sign for confirmation.
(Elizabeth pregnant in her old age)
Luke 1:41-45 NKJV
And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of
Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and
Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she
spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you
among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of
my Lord should come to me? 44 For indeed, as soon as
the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the
babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45 Blessed is she who
believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things
which were told her from the Lord.”
Elizabeth confirmed the word that the Lord gave to Mary.
Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.
The baby in her womb (John the Baptist) was filled with
the Holy Spirit
Luke 1:15 NIV – for he will be great in the sight of the
Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented
drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even
before he is born.
The evil of abortion
– those who serve baal support abortion
Do not partner with a spirit of Herod
Do not partner with a spirit of pharaoh
Pray that your children/grandchildren are filled with the
Holy Spirit before they are even born!
Luke 1:57-58 NKJV
Now Elizabeth’s full time came for her to be
delivered, and she brought forth a son. 58 When her
neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had
shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.
Elizabeth kept her pregnancy secret // her baby was
thought to be dead
A prophetic sign the Lord gave was the naming of John
the Baptist. This is why when Zacharias, having been
mute, wrote down the same name for their newborn that
Elizabeth gave, people marveled.
Luke 1:60, 62-63 NKJV
60 His mother answered and said, “No; he shall be
called John.”
62 they made signs to his father—what he would have
him called. 63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and
wrote, saying, “His name is John.” So they all
marveled.
Both Mary & Elizabeth are really good at hiding
something and incubating a word until they see it made
manifest.
Mary didn’t tell Joseph.
Matthew 1:18-19 NKJV
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His
mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they
came together, she was found with child of the Holy
Spirit. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man,
and not wanting to make her a public example, was
minded to put her away secretly.
Joseph was MEDITATING –
– “while he thought about these things”
– he had a dream
– this was another prophetic sign for Mary
Matthew 1:20-21 NKJV
But while he thought about these things, behold, an
angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying,
“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you
Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of
the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and
you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His
people from their sins.”
Shepherds Show Up in Luke
Luke 2:13-14 NKJV
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God
in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Luke 2:15-19 NKJV
So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into
heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us
now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to
pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they
came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the
Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him,
they made widely known the saying which was told them
concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it
marveled at those things which were told them by the
shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and
pondered them in her heart.
Another prophetic sign for Joseph and Mary when the
shepherds praised King Jesus at His birth.
Wise Men Show Up in Matthew
Matthew 2:1-2 NKJV
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the
days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East
came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been
born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the
East and have come to worship Him.”
Matthew 2:9-11 NKJV
When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the
star which they had seen in the East went before them, till
it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly
great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house,
they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell
down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened
their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold,
frankincense, and myrrh.
– The wise men probably were led straight to Nazareth by
the star. Jesus was born in Bethlehem but did not
necessarily stay there.
Matthew 2:16 NKJV – Then Herod, when he saw that he
was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry;
and he sent forth and put to death all the male children
who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two
years old and under, according to the time which he had
determined from the wise men.
– Jesus was around 2 years old because the time period the
wise men gave to Herod on first seeing the star was 2
years back (that’s the age group Herod targeted for death)
